Below is a quick list of stuff I thought that I should do. Do assume any order of precedence. The below is basically a brain dump which occurred over time.

  • Remake the JRE/Java module using SUN's JRE as the source instead of a Slackware package
(easier upgrades + upgrades not dependent on Slackware)
  • Remove the embedded JRE from WebGoat and modify the module to use the default Java module
(saves space)
  • Remake the nmap modules using Fydor's source not an existing SLAX module
(easier upgrades + upgrades not dependent on SLAX)
  • Remake the tcpdump module using source instead of a Slackware package
(easier upgrades + upgrades not dependent on Slackware)
  • Write up a bit about how to turn on the OpenSSH server on SLAX. It confused me the first go round.
(No reason for others to stub their toes where I did)
  • Write and document a 'setup fakeroot' script
(It would make creating a module that much easier and would be easy to write)
  • Make a menu item for tidy
(I've already got the module, I might as well let people know it it there)
